For both the EOS R and the EOS 5D Mark IV (the 2 cameras I'd consider closest in target market to the R5) Adobe updated their software shortly after the cameras began first shipping to consumers. The response on Camera RAW / Lightroom support is overly pessimistic. The colorchecker profiles are really good for skintones in my opinion, just as good as the camera matching and a lot better than Adobe's Color profile. I actually stepped away from those camera matching profiles after using the X-Rite colorchecker + X-Rite's free software to easy create profiles. ![]() I know it is a big issue for people who use those camera matching profiles. (This is just a warning for people who use the "Camera Matching" profiles in their workflow.) I have seen many others have the same opinion about the "adobe" colors. And the "adobe" profiles are no good (IMHO). ![]() You will only get "adobe color", "adobe landscape" etc. So no "camera standard" and "camera landscape" etc. That's about the 10 latest cameras (before R5/R6) missing those profiles. Just be aware that no "Camera Matching" profiles has been made for Canon cameras since (and including) the release of the RP.
